Alternative Settings

In addition to traditional therapy settings, like in-office and telehealth visits, PoM offers in-home and school-based psychotherapy, as well as community-based services.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses on helping people accept the reality of their lives and behaviors, while also helping them learn how to change their lives and unhelpful behaviors. DBT is especially effective in helping people manage and regulate strong emotions, cope with stress, and improve their relationships.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an effective intervention for trauma, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other mental health concerns. ART uses eye movements aimed to help quickly alleviate symptoms, which are often related to past trauma.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a type of psychotherapy that uses eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, such as tapping or auditory cues, to help people process and heal from traumatic or distressing memories. EMDR aims to reduce the negative emotions, beliefs, and physical sensations associated with these memories.
Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT)

The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) is a developmentally sensitive, neurobiology-informed approach to clinical problem-solving, especially for children and families impacted by trauma.
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidence-based treatment specifically designed for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. It focuses on overcoming the emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with trauma, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other related issues. TF-CBT also involves parents or caregivers in the treatment process.
Circle of Security Therapy

Circle of Security is a parenting approach designed to help parents and caregivers enhance secure attachment with their children by allowing them to understand their child's emotional needs and strengthen their attachment.
Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing (SE) therapy is a gentle, body-based approach to helping individuals resolve the effects of trauma and stress. It focuses on the mind-body connection, understanding the body's natural ability to heal and process traumatic experiences by recognizing and releasing stored energy and tension.
